The Author
Luke Blomberg was born on April 9th, 1989. He spent the first half of his childhood in a small town in northeast Pennsylvania and the second half in southern Florida. Since graduating high school in 2007, Luke has worked at various jobs such as college receptionist, radio operator in the US Army, tour guide, Delivery Dudes driver and most recently as an HVAC technician. In between, as well as during those jobs, he managed to attain a Bachelors Degree in History with a minor in Creative Writing. It took him much of his life to discover his passion: fiction writing. The experience he has garnered from the many different things he has done and places he has lived has given him a vivid imagination, colorful experience, and a genuine love for life.
Current Work
Run Down Quay is Luke’s first full-length story. It is a mystery/psychological thriller that centers around a missing persons police detective named Landon Collins in the New Orleans Police Department. He and his partner get put on the case with two homicide detectives when a young woman is found dead off the side of a rural highway. The four year old girl she was babysitting is nowhere to be seen. Landon is a veteran of the Marine Corps and struggles with various personal issues such as anger, insomnia and PTSD, among others. He discovers the concept of lucid dreaming and begins employing its powers not only to aid in the investigation but also in conquering the demons that keep him up at night and keep his conscious self out of harmony with his subconscious mind.
